A majority of Constituent Assembly lawmaker shave turned down the proposal of restoring Nepal as a Hindu state.Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) Chairman Kamal Thapa had registered the amendment proposal demanding to mention Nepal as a Hindu state in Article 4 of the revised bill of the new constitution. However, the proposal on restoring Nepal as Hindu state was rejected as it did not get the required 10 percent of votes.
Chairman Thapa had asked for division of votes in the CA. In the division of votes only 21 lawmakers stood for the proposal of Thapa.At least 61 lawmakers are required to make up 10 percent of votes in the CA, Chairman Nembang announced.As per the CA regulations, if any amendment proposal gathers 10 percent of votes from the lawmakers, the proposal is put to vote. source : myrepublica

CA passes Nepal’s Constitution

The Constituent Assembly (CA) has passed the constitution bill with two thirds majority on Wednesday.A total of 507 votes were cast in favor of the bill while 25 votes were cast against it. According to the interim constitution, two thirds majority is required to endorse the bill which means a total vote of 399 out of the 598 occupied seats in the CA would have sufficed to pass the bill.

It is called Dasain, Vijaya Dashami and Dahsera. There are lots of western countries consuming mass amount of meat, animals are slaughtered in factories by the hundreds and thousands. The final day of the festival is known as `Tika’, a day on which the elder ones give `Tika’ to the younger ones and to other relatives who come for their blessings.
